Indian Institute of Management Udaipur, the youngest member of IIM family has completed the process of Summer Placements for its first PGP batch. IIM Udaipur has placed the entire batch of 57 students by December itself. The summer internship placement process started in the middle of November 2011, and the whole batch of 57 was placed in just a little over a month. The highest stipend offer made was Rs 100,000 while the average stipend stood at Rs 45,600.

56% of the students were offered internships in Banking & Finance (28%) and Sales & Marketing (28%). Of the remaining 26% of the students were offered in Consulting & Analytics, 14% in General Management & Operations and 7% were placed in HR domain.

Approximately 50% of the batch has been placed in State Capitals and Metros with over 20% going to Mumbai. Other cities where the students shall be working during their summers are Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, several areas of the NCR and Jaipur.

FMS Entrance Exam:
Admission to MBA (Two-Year Full-Time) and Ph.D (Management) will be based on CAT-2011 Score (Common Admission Test conducted by Indian Institute of Management from October 22, 2011 to November 18, 2011), Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates may visit www.catiim.in to appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT)-2011. Applicants who have not taken CAT-2011 will not be considered for admission. At least 50 percentile score on each section of the CAT-2011 Examination is required by a candidate to be short-listed for a Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The Candidate will be required to produce their certificates and mark sheets in original, at the time of interview.

Eligibility:
MBA (full time): Candidates applying for admission to the 2-year full time MBA must have pursued at least a 3-year Bachelor’s degree programme after 12 years of formal schooling. The minimum requisite percentage of marks (in aggregate) in different disciplines; Arts, Commerce or Social Science 50%; Sciences 55%; Mathematics or Statistics 60%; Medicine, Engineering or Technology 60%/CGPA of at least 6.00 in a scale of 10.00 or Post Graduate degree or 2nd degree examination after 10+2+3 scheme, securing at least 60% marks. Candidates appearing for the final examination of Bachelor’s/post-graduate degree examination may also apply.

Doctoral programme: Candidates except (i) Teachers of University of Delhi who have completed two years of experience (ii) those appearing in final year examination of MBA (full time/MS/part time/HCA) at FMS or have successfully completed MBA (full time/MS/part time/HCA) from FMS during the last two years (iii) recipients of national scholarships .
