Pune 15 June : The Association of Management of MBA/MMS Institutes (Maharashtra state) has organized a common entrance test AMMI-MBA/ MMS – CET -2011 for students seeking admissions for MBA/MMS courses in management institutes affiliated to the universities in Maharashtra and approved by AICTE and Government of Maharashtra . The exam will be held on 31 July 2011 . This is in accordance with the permission granted by Maharashtra Admission Regularity Committee , Maharashtra State on 13 May 2011. The students of Maharashtra and outside Maharashtra are allowed to sit for this CET .

Students who have not been able to give common entrance test organized by Maharashtra state or students who failed CET exam organised by Mahrashtra state will be able to give this CET exam to seek admission for the academic year 2011-2012 for MBA/MMS courses in the management institute affilated to the universities in Maharashtra and approved by AICTE and Government of Maharashtra .

This year Students can pursue MBA/MMS courses only if they appear and pass common entrance test .Therefore a permission to conduct common entrance test has been granted to the Association to hold CET on 31 July 2011.

Those students who have not been able to give CET 2011 , this comes as a big respite . The Association has urged students to take benefit of this CET .

The students have a chance to give the CET conducted by the institutes affiliated to the universities in Maharashtra .The booklets/ brochures giving information of AMMI-MBA/MMS-CET-2011will be distributed from 15 June 2011 -27 July 2011.The forms for CETwill be accepted till 28 July 2011. The Group Discussion, Personal Interview and written exam will be conducted on 31 July 2011. The results will be declared on 12 August 2011 .

The information brochure is avalaible at AMMI-MBA/MMS-CET participating institutes. The list of the participating institutes is declared on the association website. The cost of the information brochure and examination fees are Rs.800.
